Missouri Women's Network Equality Day Brunch Aug. 23, 2014The 27th Annual Equality Day Brunch, sponsored by the Missouri Women’s Network, will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clayton, MO. Barbara Joan Zeitz, Author, Historian and Gender Equity Analyst, will be speaking about “Gender in the Courts”. Virginia Minor, (aka Barbara Kay), the eighth woman to be inducted into the Missouri Hall of Fame in Jefferson City, will provide remarks. The following women will be honored for their equal rights work: Joyce Best, Peggy Cochran, and Nancy E. Cross. Missouri NOW Annual State Conference September 27, 2014
The conference will be at HyVee Community Room (Upstairs) 405 E. Nifong, Columbia, MO, from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. Andi Zeisler of Bitch magazine will travel to Columbia, Missouri for our State Conference Saturday, Sept 27. She will talk on "Evolving Feminist Analysis and Activism in Print, on the Web and Beyond". We will also be engaging in strategic planning for Missouri NOW and holding election of officers.
